As the recently elected President of Cal State Long Beach’s PRSSA chapter, I lead chapter initiatives, foster professional development opportunities, and strengthen internal and external connections within the PR community.
As a PR & Marketing Assistant with Beach Media at CSULB, I support the public relations and marketing team across a variety of initiatives, including digital marketing campaigns, social media strategy, and event campaigns. I assist with conducting social media strategy, coordinating media outreach, and supporting media events. Additionally, I track project timelines and support overall strategy and project coordination.
As a Digital Media Ambassador for CSULB PRSSA, I managed and created content for the chapter’s social media platforms, helping to increase engagement and visibility among members and promote our events and initiatives. During my time as Digital Media Ambassador, our Instagram account saw a 409% increase in engagement and visibility of our promotional content and digital campaigns. This is reflected in the nearly 300% increase in event attendance rate.
As an assistant in the Strategic Enrollment Management department at the CSU Chancellor’s Office, I support the team through a variety of administrative and marketing communication tasks. My responsibilities include assisting with marketing communication projects, coordinating the distribution of promotional materials, supporting event and conference logistics, and staffing outreach and recruitment events. I also manage other departmental support duties to ensure smooth operations.
As an Office Administrative Assistant for the Department of American Studies, I managed the department’s social media presence, developed promotional materials, and assisted in planning, coordinating, and executing departmental events. In addition, I provided administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining department records. These responsibilities strengthened my expertise in strategic communication, content creation, and project management.

I began my studies at California State University, Fullerton, where I gained early experience in public relations and professional development. While I later transferred to CSULB to better align with my academic and career goals, my time at CSUF helped me build foundational skills in mass media communications. During my time there, I was named to the College of Communication Dean’s List every semester and was an active member of CSUF’s PRSSA chapter.
